Learning About God

This week we are starting the Preschool curriculum Learning about God. I am very excited to get started with an actual routine for "home school", but even with a curriculum guide AND a Bible to guide me, it is still daunting to plan how I'm going to teach my 3-year-old about God. Yes, he can pretend and believe he is a superhero, that he flies in a hand-crafted airplane, and that the floor is made of lava, but I have no idea how to explain God to him.

After some thought I've determined that it is very hard to explain God to my son because I am sometimes a not-so-great example for him. So as I begin this new home school routine with my boys I will be teaching them while attempting to un-teach myself. It will be a journey for us together, and I hope that others can learn as well.

I plan to post everything I can for all those moms and dads out there that may want to follow suit, because we all know that these are the teaching years--the impressionable years, and our kids need us.

Please feel free to peruse the Resources page for online, print, and downloadable resources.

The best is yet to come!
